ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER

Job Responsibilities
1. Sales
  • Deliver sales targets (daily, weekly, monthly, annual)
  • Submit daily, end of period and end of month sales reports when store
  • manager is not on duty
  • Support effective inventory management
  • Limit damage and theft
  • Bi- annual store inventory update
  • Return authorizations
2. Customer
  • Cultivate a strong customer following for both the store and personally
  • Set the proper tone and customer service orientation for other associates
  • Understand local trends and preferences
  • Effective conflict resolution
  • Offer ideas for events that drive increased store traffic and purchases
  • As requested, follow up on special requests and orders
3. Associates
  • Support hiring, coaching and developing other associates
  • Ensure all team members are aware of daily sales targets
  • Support new hire orientation
  • Support effective conflict resolution
  • Provides ad hoc support to retail store manager in accomplishing their
  • responsibilities
4. Store
  • Ensure strong floor merchandising
  • Adhere to established opening and closing procedures
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate supply levels
  • Maintain a clean store (selling floor, back room etc.) that well represents the
  • Company
  • Support special in store events and promotions
  • Ensure the store runs well in the absence of the Retail Store Manager
5. Product
  • Have a strong knowledge of product lines
  • Know the story behind key designers
  • Provide honest and effective feedback on product match to customer
  • Share product knowledge with associates
  • All of the above responsibilities are to be completed in a thorough manner and on time in the
  • approved Alixandra Collections format.
  • Assistant Store Manager performs/completes other project, duties and assignments as requested by the Retail Store Manager or Owner.
